A friend of mine died this week, but I can say it has to be one of the most beautiful stories I have ever known. Cindy had been struggling with Christianity and her beliefs for a long time. I was blessed to get to know her a couple years ago when she began attending our church in Alabama. The definition of a "seeker", she did not believe in God or Christ but decided to look into the concept. After countless discussions with our pastor over the course of a couple years, it was only last month when Cindy decided to give her life to Jesus. Last Friday she was baptized, 5 days later she died from an aortic aneurysm. The timing is both inexplicable and purely God.
Cindy, I am thankful that God now holds you, that your faith is now sight, and that I was blessed enough to know you for an all-too brief time. By the way, thank you again for the quilt, I will cherish it forever.
Friends, remember that we are here for God. We were created to reflect His glory. The only certainty about tomorrow is that God's love remains, and we can choose an eternity in paradise by simply accepting his grace.
in Christ,
Mitch
